It all started when I would play minor hockey and my father would buy me a pack of the old O-Pee-Chee product and a extra pack for every goal I scored. To this day my father picks me up a pack of Tim Hortons cards when they are out. So this year marks my 50th year in the hobby.

A lot in the hobby has changed in the last 50 year from digital cards to popular companies being bought up or have just gone out of business. The hobby is currently strong and will be around for a long time.

I served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 35 years and now I am retired and heavier into the hobby than ever. Due to my service, I have some PTSD issues. Collecting and putting on shows has been great for my recovery.

Since 2022, I have started putting on a local card show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to help grow the hobby.
